This company is changing the way high-growth companies make financial decisions. Their goal is to make zero day close a reality. No more reporting 10 days after quarter end, report day ZERO. They areĀ a next-gen accounting platform purpose built to automate end-to-end accounting workflows. In practical terms, information from CRM, billing, AP, payroll, etc. is synced instantaneously with the product, and 93% of journal entries are booked without human intervention. CEO, CFO, and finance teams can finally focus on making impactful financial decisions, while leaving this product to run the numbers.

About the role:

They are building an accounting & finance software that will be industry defining and they need someone to help them transition to the next company phase. They’ve grown quickly over the past few months and are expanding their GTM team to accelerate this trajectory. Youā€™ll work directly with the CEO, and wider GTM and Product teams to help prospects evaluate them as their next ERP. As an early member of the GTM team, youā€™ll be uniquely positioned to build strategies, test hypotheses, and lay the foundation for the GTM motion for the years to come. The role is remote first with opportunities to travel to events co-working sessions in our New York office.

You will:

  • Remove technical objections.Ā Youā€™ll play a key role in the sales cycle by addressing all technical questions of potential customers. Specifically, youā€™ll understand their business requirements and existing technology stack, and clearly articulate how they will be integrated and can improve their processes. Youā€™ll take part in sales conversations and will be able to answer the vast majority of technical questions immediately, without the need to circle back with the Product team.
  • Perform sales demonstration.Ā Youā€™ll setup the sandbox environment and tailor the data to showcase the key specific use cases of each customer. Youā€™ll deliver high-impact demonstrations, answering questions along the way and adapting based on the needs of the customer. Youā€™re their consultant in the purchase process.
  • Execute relentlessly.Ā Work cross-functionally to provide front-line prospect feedback to founders and product teams in close to real-time. You will experiment with different demo styles, help write thoughtful follow-ups to customers, and become a highly responsive advisor to their prospective customers. Youā€™ll roll up your sleeves and accelerate velocity.
  • Represent.Ā Youā€™ll be the face of the company and will apply high customer empathy and structured problem solving to make sure every prospect interaction is delightful. Youā€™re comfortable marketing into a user with high finance and accounting proficiency and will further your knowledge about the domain in the process.

You are a good fit for this role if you:

  • Have 3+ years of industry accounting experience, with involvement across various accounting areas including revenue recognition, month-end close and multi-entity consolidation.
  • Have 2+ years of experience supporting sales cycle with implementation and/ or customer support for accounting/financial solutions.
  • Possess strong knowledge of current ecosystem of tools in the office of the CFO.
  • Possess strong writing and verbal skills. You are an excellent communicator who can make complex concepts easy to understand and know how to write and speak conversationally.
  • Are comfortable operating in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while keeping a high attention to detail.
  • Bonus points if you have experience selling to finance or accounting leaders or domain expertise in the field.
  • Bonus points if you have a CPA certification or started your career in audit.
