Maintenance Tech II
General Overview: Responsible for assisting in all general facility maintenance and involved in machinery maintenance.
Division Specifics for this Position:
Responsibilities of all Maintenance Technicians:

General Facility Maintenance:
-
Support cosmetic appearance of building by painting, power washing, ground maintenance, etc.
-
Support upkeep of plant facilities to include general plumbing, exchanging of filters, minor electrical and mechanical repairs etc.
-
Participate in company daily waste and scrap removal.
-
Conduct daily check list of critical equipment.
-
Fabricates materials in wood working area for crates, tables, etc.
-
Ability to drive forklift and operate man lift equipment.
-
Responsible for assisting the physical movement of material throughout plant.
-
Helps to ensure the facility maintains a clean, safe working environment.

Machine Maintenance:
-
Ability to operate and repair basic small machines.
-
Participates in the general repairs for all machinery throughout the facilities and grounds.
-
Work as a team member conducting minor and major Preventive Maintenance and Projects as assigned.
-
Inventory management:
-
Create and maintain inventory records for technology-related devices. Manage location assignments and facilitate technical equipment deployments, relocations, and removals as requested following system deployment procedures.
-
Install replacement parts and consumables as assigned. Higher-level tiers will address issues with advanced technical equipment.
-
Other technical duties as required or as assigned by higher roles.
Additional responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician II:

General Facility Maintenance:
-
Have general knowledge of facility plumbing and pipe installation.
-
Have knowledge in basic repair of motor, pumps and compressors etc.
-
Machine Maintenance:
-
Ability to operate and repair general manufacturing machines including CNC machines.
-
Participates in the general repairs for all machinery throughout the facilities and grounds.
-
Lead team members conducting minor and major Preventive Maintenance and Projects as assigned.
-
Ability to troubleshoot complex problems on sophisticated machine tools, generators, air compressors and other types of equipment.
-
Assists in responsibility for physical movement of material throughout plant.
-
Working knowledge of HVAC and Chilled Water systems.
-
Assist in set-up of machines.
-
Understands pneumatics and electrical controls for machinery to include VFD’s and electronic circuits.
-
Maintains knowledge and ability to work with manual machine repair.
-
Ability to operate and repair basic small machines.
-
Assist in leadership roles in the absence of the Facility Manager.

Work Environment/Conditions (list chemicals, allergen, noise, heights, etc.):

This position will require working primarily indoors in a smoke-free office and manufacturing facility but may also require the employee to be outdoors on occasion.

Limited travel will be required to support offsite personnel and business projects.
-
Occasional assignments will require remote access and may include evening or weekend schedules.
-
The noise level is usually moderate. Employee will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A. Education and Training
-
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
-
Preferred: Trade schools or Vocational Tech training course
B. General Requirements
-
To perform in this position successfully, an individual must be able to complete all areas outlined above for this position in a satisfactory manner.
-
Tech I- Minimum of 1 years in a manufacturing environment.
-
Tech II- Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
-
Must have strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments
-
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret simple flowcharts and schematics documents.
-
Ability to respond effectively to emergency repairs as needed.
-
Must be able to follow written procedures and instructions to repair and adjust equipment.
C. Technical Requirements/Skills
-
Utilize the existing ERP/CMMS integrated modules to maintain data integrity material inventory.
-
Use ERP/CMMS to complete preventive maintenance documentation as required.
D. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
-
Employee must be able to meet requirements for drug screen, background check, physical, and medical ability to perform essential duties of position.
-
Regular onsite attendance during prescribed work hours and days, to include overtime and weekends.
-
Individuals with degrees or certifications are required to provide proof of completed degree or certification to receive preferred consideration.
