LubeServe Technician

Job Objective: The LubeServ Technician will perform the daily operations and objectives of a LubeServ account within a customer’s facility that are aligned with the lubrication and reliability program. Our client is seeking a candidate with strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude, organizational, written, and verbal skills, who can perform a variety of tasks related to machinery lubrication.

Pay: $24-$25/Hour
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, Start time 6/6:30 AM, 10-hour days. Occasional weekend coverage.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct work safely by attending safety and production meetings and following site safety requirements, including PPE, JHA/JSA, Lock Out/Tag Out, Work Permitting, and Near Miss Unsafe Condition reporting.

  • Work effectively in an unsupervised capacity.

  • Perform lubrication maintenance tasks such as operating a grease gun, filling oil reservoirs, etc.

  • Ensure assigned equipment is properly lubricated.

  • Check and maintain oil levels in Oil Mist generators and other automatic lubricating systems.

  • Perform maintenance on oil mist generators on a regular schedule.

  • Follow designated grease routes to grease equipment.

  • Perform regular oil changes and top-ups.

  • Conduct “break-ins.”

  • Participate in facility audits and lubrication surveys.

  • Ensure lubricants added to equipment meet cleanliness standards.

  • Record completed lubrication tasks.

  • Identify, record, and correct lubrication issues and deficiencies.

  • Support troubleshooting and failure analysis of lubrication-related equipment failures.

  • Maintain lubricant inventory.

  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of lubricants.

  • Follow lubrication program best practices.

  • Verify equipment is tagged with the correct lubricant.

  • Maintain oil sample ports.

  • Collect and process lubricant samples.

  • Submit completed paperwork in a timely manner.

  • Operate oil transfer pumps and filtration equipment.

  • Use a forklift or dolly to load and unload oil or other materials.

  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and fueling as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements:

  • Basic computer skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card) – may be waived by management on a case-by-case basis

  • Ability to pass site-specific training classes hosted by the site or safety council to meet project requirements

Job Requirements:

  • 1+ year experience working in a plant environment preferred.

  • Basic computer literacy, including standard email, spreadsheets, word processing, and software/web-based programs for lubrication scheduling and oil analysis.

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions for interpreting alarms, calculating lubricant inventories, and determining re-lubrication quantities.

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • A clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is mandatory for associates required to drive company vehicles.

  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback.

  • Understanding and application of company/plant policies and procedures in safety, health, and environmental compliance.

  • Authorized to work in the United States.

  • Ability to pass periodic drug, alcohol, hair follicle, and background screenings.

  • Capability to work in dusty, dirty environments and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting 20-pound objects constantly; 50-pound objects frequently; and 100-pound objects occasionally.

  • Climbing ladders, stairs, and ramps.

  • Balancing, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, and kneeling.

  • Reaching and grasping objects.

  • Vision: Minimum requirement to obtain a driver’s license and ensure safety.

  • Hearing: Ability to perceive sounds with or without correction.

  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas verbally.

Performance Measurements:

  • Attendance: Number/percentage of days present for work.

  • Safety: Number of days without violations or injuries.

  • On-time completion: Lube routes, sample collection, visual inspections, and PMs.

Attendance Requirements: Regular and consistent attendance is mandatory.
