The Role

We are seeking a candidate to contribute to the scaling of our system to accommodate increasing user demand. Our technology stack encompasses various technologies (front-end, backend, edge-computing), and you will primarily focus on a significant portion of our front-end and backend infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing new backend APIs while collaborating with the edge team.
• Developing user-facing front-end interfaces and collaborating with the product team.
• Ensuring scalability and comprehensive observability of the system.
• Delivering high-quality features, conducting thorough testing, and troubleshooting issues.

Requirements and Desired Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of industry experience with a track record of building systems at a substantial scale.
• Proficiency and experience with our primary backend technologies: FastAPI, Python3, Docker, Postgres, Redis.
• Familiarity and experience with front-end technologies including Typescript, React, react-query, various build tools, and React component libraries (specifically MUI).
• Preferred experience in one or more areas such as infrastructure-as-code solutions (we utilize Pulumi on AWS) or mobile development (we employ React Native).
• Any background in platform engineering (C++) or video streaming is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated intrinsic motivation to excel and a strong work ethic.
