Manager, Safety, Health and Environment

Job Type: Full-time; On-site

Responsibilities: 

• Create and manage a comprehensive safety programs, policies and procedures. 
• Ensure the company adheres to local, state, and federal regulatory requirements and laws (OSHA, EPA). 
• Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments and implement controls such as ergonomics, fall protection, process safety, etc. 
• Develop and administer training, fostering a safety culture and promoting awareness to associates. 
• Investigate workplace accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective action. 
• Conduct safety audits and surveys, reporting findings and ensuring corrective measures are taken. 
• Oversee hazardous waste management, pollution prevention and environmental impact reduction. 
• Advise leadership, coach employees, and collaborate with other departments (HR, Operations). 
• Manage budgets, track performance (KPI’s) and handle regulatory reporting as outlined by local, state and federal law. 

Experience: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health, Safety Engineering or related field is preferred. 
• 8-10 years of demonstrated EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, including environmental and safety experience. Substantive experience in developing and implementing EH&S programs.
• Thorough knowledge and experience in EHS related government regulations and standards within US. 
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills. 
• Proven track record of successful mission critical facility project delivery. 
• Proficiency in project management software and other related tools.
