Logistics Sales Executive

Job Type: Full-time; Remote

Responsibilities: 

• Develop new shipper relationships through prospecting and industry networking
• Negotiate rates directly with shippers and secure contractual freight opportunities
• Identify cross-selling opportunities (LTL, FTL, intermodal, expedited, drayage, etc.)
• Prepare pricing proposals, bids, and RFP responses
• Build and maintain a strong network of vetted carriers
• Negotiate competitive buy rates while maintaining service quality
• Ensure carrier compliance (insurance, authority, safety ratings)
• Coordinate freight movement from tender through delivery
• Track shipments proactively and resolve service issues in real time
• Manage appointment scheduling, detention, lumper fees, and accessorials
• Maintain accurate documentation (BOLs, rate confirmations, PODs)
• Work closely with dispatch, accounting, and claims departments

Experience:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or a related industry
• Strong understanding of the current logistics market, including capacity trends, pricing dynamics, and carrier networks
• Highly competitive and goal-driven, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance targets
• Demonstrated experience sourcing, qualifying, and vetting carriers to ensure service reliability and compliance
• Proven ability to identify cross-selling opportunities and drive account expansion through strategic relationship management
