TAPS | Sr. P&C Consultant – Clayton, MO
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Lead Account Managers in servicing clients within the account teamÂ
- Maintain appropriate business contact with clientÂ
- Responsible for the pro-active marketing and servicing of accounts with multiple lines of coverageÂ
- Utilize the Applied/Epic system and the shared drive to maintain client informationÂ
- Build relationships with assigned clients and give prompt attention to their requestsÂ
- Work directly with Producers to discuss client’s future insurance needsÂ
- Understand the clients’ business and risk profiles, utilizing this information to prepare insurance specifications.Â
- Communicate the clients’ needs to their insurance carriers and identify new trends and developmentsÂ
- Prepare insurance proposals, outlining significant terms and conditionsÂ
- Offer appropriate coverage including policies that are not currently purchased by the client, to eliminate the potential for uninsured claimsÂ
- Check policies against quotes for accuracy, and request changes where neededÂ
- Assist in organizing pre-renewal and renewal meetings, and coordinating claims reviews, as neededÂ
- Research available insurance products and policies that may be appropriate for clients, utilizing vendor relationships within the insurance marketplaceÂ
- Understand surplus lines and filingsÂ
- Assist the accounting department with billing discrepancies, when necessaryÂ
- All other duties and projects as assignedÂ
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of Property and Casualty insurance coverage.Â
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Â
- Ability to navigate vendor or agency management systems as applicable.Â
- Proficiency in Applied / Epic or ability to learn these programs.Â
- Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat is a plus. Â
- Ability to manage client needs and multiple tasks. Â
- Good organization skills. Â
- Attention to accuracy and detail. Â
Local travel will be necessary to meet the client needs and occasionally may be nationally. Â
Additional RequirementsÂ
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a pleasant disposition required at all times.Â
- Mergers & Acquisition/Private Equity experience preferred.
- Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.Â
- Team player. Â
Educational RequirementsÂ
- High School, Associate Degree, College Graduate Â
- Other: Brokers License Â
Work ExperienceÂ
- At least 5 years of experience in the P&C field.Â
