Senior Product Analyst

Primary Purpose of Position This role supports functionality within our digital products. The Senior Product Analyst bridges the gap between business strategy and technical execution by translating business needs into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria for technical refinement. This position collaborates closely with the Product Owner/Product Lead, technical business analysts, developers, and AI agents. This role requires the ability to engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements and familiarity with emerging AI-driven workflows. Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools is highly beneficial.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Business Requirements Translations and Story Development (25%): Gather, analyze, and translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria for technical refinement. Ensure requirements are written in a way that developers can easily build from, minimizing rework.

  • Product Backlog Management (15%): Partner with the Product Owner/Product Lead to groom, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog for assigned functionality, balancing business value and delivery feasibility.

  • AI Prompt Writing (15%): Draft, write, test, and refine prompts for AI agents. Evaluate AI outputs and results for accuracy to support production functionality, user experience, and alignment with business requirements.

  • Support Refinement (15%): Collaborate and work closely with technical business analysts to prepare stories for development and ensure a smooth handoff of requirements.

  • Stakeholder Engagement (10%): Partner and engage with business stakeholders to clarify requirements, understand priorities, and communicate status updates.

  • Testing & Validation (10%): Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), representing end-user needs and helping to validate delivered functionality against requirements.

  • Agile Participation (10%): Represent assigned functionality from the business perspective in daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Position Specifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong analytical mindset and comfort with data-driven decision making.

  • Ability to regularly co-locate with working teams in an office setting.

  • Travel is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, or related roles.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business and sales requirements into detailed user stories for development.

  • Experience writing or refining prompts for AI agents, chatbots, or digital assistants.

  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM tools and familiarity with sales processes.

  • Knowledge of backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello).

  • Strong understanding of business economics, ROI, and cost/benefit tradeoffs.
