Our client, a growing wealth management firm, is looking for a Certified Financial Planner to join the team and grow into their Chief Investment Officer’s spot in the next 2-4 years. This firm is highly respected with nearly 40 years in the industry and over $1.3B AUM. Responsibilities:

  1. Research and make recommendations to CIO and Assistant CIO regarding the following:
    1. Company benchmark composition (every 3 years)
    2. Optimal asset allocations for 4 different investment objectives (quarterly)
    3. Manager selection to implement asset allocation (quarterly)
       
  2. Take responsibility for managing all aspects of model portfolios
    1. Recommend asset/manager allocation for each of 21 strict models
    2. Document rationale for regulatory purposes
    3. Update models in trading software
    4. Update models in Morningstar Workstation
    5. Create Compliance-approved one-page summaries and e-mails regarding investment strategies (quarterly)
    6. Recommend technology and process improvements
       
  3. Document data for all investment strategies relative to company benchmarks
    1. Performance (monthly)
    2. Attribution (quarterly)
    3. Recommend improvements for data collection process
       
  4. Collect, maintain, and interpret appropriate proprietary market- and manager-related data (continuous).
    1. Review current processes/systems/technology/data
    2. Recommend new processes/systems/technology/data
    3. Includes daily market metrics and monthly/quarterly manager metrics
    4. Recommend improvements for data
       
  5. Draft Investment Committee materials and participate in discussion (quarterly).
     
  6. Provide brief weekly market commentary for advisors to be included in weekly e-mail.
     
  7. Maintain Preferred Provider List with information regarding recommended managers and strategies (quarterly).
     
  8. Attend in-house lunch meetings with investment providers (2x/week).
     
  9. Assist Investment Team in preparing client reviews (daily).
     
  10. Write blogs for our weekly posts (1x/month).
     
  11. Participate in/lead Power Break client events (quarterly).
     
  12. Review and trade individual client accounts during quarterly Strategic Wealth Management review process or our Bear Market Opportunity Plan (BMOP) process.
