Job Objective:
To establish and maintain long-term customer relationships by servicing assigned accounts and providing outstanding customer service. To reinforce sales management practices to enhance all levels of sales and profit within the branch.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by management. Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon location size and operation.
Customer Relations
-
Meet or exceed sales and profit goals established in consultation with branch management
-
Develop and maintain relationships with assigned customers, including key accounts
-
Present new products to customers
-
Ensure follow-up with customers on orders and inquiries
-
Maintain and update customer pricing
Leadership
-
Ensure customer satisfaction
-
Promote company capabilities and marketing programs to customers
-
Develop and maintain vendor relations
-
Explain company policies and procedures (warranty, collections, return goods, etc.)
-
Address and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner
-
Participate in training other associates and act as a mentor
-
Assist in developing the Annual Strategic Plan and customer sales budgets
-
Monitor sales trends and product performance
-
Coach inside sales associates to grow accounts and better serve customers
-
Continually enhance sales skills to maintain a professional image
Administrative & Operational Duties
-
Review trial balance with Credit Manager monthly
-
Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle
-
Represent the company professionally and provide quality customer service
-
Comply with all company policies and safety procedures
-
Support overall company goals and initiatives
-
Work overtime as needed
-
Possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted driver’s license
-
Perform duties in a safe and responsible manner for self and others

Sales growth in strategic product areas

Inventory and order accuracy

Achievement of sales budgets
Requirements:
-
Minimum of 2 years in a sales role
-
Lubricants or related industry experience is a plus, but not required
-
Clean Motor Vehicle Record (preferred)
