Client Service Manager | St Louis/Clayton, MO

This role is essential in ensuring an exceptional client experience and maintaining professional relationships. You will collaborate closely with clients, addressing their needs, providing support, and ensuring seamless interactions, while knowing when to engage sales or operations. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic learner, skilled at managing client-facing responsibilities, eager to master new processes, and contribute to the overall success of our wealth management team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to):
Client Onboarding & Management
- Maintain a working understanding of all internal and partner systems affecting sales, service efficiency, and client experience, including CRM, investment, financial planning, compliance, and IT.
- Guide new clients through the onboarding process, explaining account setup, services, and procedures.
- Prepare and review necessary paperwork for client accounts, including account openings, transfers, withdrawals, and beneficiary updates.
- Collect required documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate a smooth transition for new clients.
- Partner with advisors to establish a regular client review process, scheduling and coordinating meetings.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Foster strong relationships by actively listening and addressing client concerns.
Meeting Preparation & Client Service
- Collaborate with operations to prepare materials for client meetings, including financial plans and performance reports.
- Coordinate with custodians, brokerage firms, and internal teams to process client transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and follow up on outstanding items.
Data Management & Communication
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Maintain client data in the CRM system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries from clients and team members.
Teamwork & Support
- Assist with office organization, filing, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Regularly attend team meetings and contribute insights to enhance client service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements:
- Solid understanding of financial planning principles, investment strategies, and relevant regulations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and technology environment.
- Continual learner mentality, able to adopt new solutions and respond to new systems.
- Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information.
- Regular and predictable attendance is required.
- Business travel up to 20%.
Education, Training, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field (preferred) or relevant work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in the wealth management service industry preferred.
- Familiarity with Charles Schwab preferred.
- Familiarity with Orion, Salesforce, and other financial technology preferred.
- Relevant experience with retirement plans is a plus.

Your base pay depends on your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonuses based on individual or company performance.
