Showpad is a 450+ person SaaS company, focused on developing sales enablement solutions. Showpad’s Lead Recruiter went on maternity leave, and with their lack of Chicago-based talent acquisition staff, they required a turnkey recruiting solution to meet the hiring demand. More specifically, Showpad needed a talent acquisition partner with deep knowledge of the local sales and marketing candidate markets.

Describe the project or task the provider helped with:
We needed Hirewell’s help locating an SEO Specialist with expertise in technical and on-page SEO, as well as practical experience copywriting for specialized SaaS audiences. Katie Lynn was able to successfully find us exactly what we were looking for in a very competitive market where demand for advanced SEO implementations far outweighs resource availability.

What do you like best?
The continued feedback loop around the candidates Hirewell shared with us. Each time we were given a set of resumes to review, the candidate quality kept getting stronger. Hirewell was extremely good at proactively adjusting their search based on candidate feedback given until we were able to identify and successfully hire someone that exactly met our unique needs.

What do you dislike?
In the beginning, we had to review a significant number of resumes as Hirewell did not not yet have a strong understanding of what was most critical in our job requirements. Until they were able to focus on the most important criteria, we had to spend some extra time reviewing resumes not always best aligned to our needs.

What problems are you solving with the provider? What benefits have you realized?
We have been leveraging their expertise to help us identify job candidates in highly competitive fields and have successfully made job offers accordingly. Hirewell has not only helped us successfully hire for hard-to-fill positions, but they have taken pressure off our own internal HR department where hiring needs sometimes outpace current internal resources. Hirewell has been a good partner in helping fill that gap.
