AP Specialist, Temp-to-hire

Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client creates custom made exhibits and booth rentals for trade shows and events. They specialize in designing, fabricating, installing and dismantling large- scale custom and rental exhibits, branded corporate interiors, and engaging environments worldwide.

They are currently looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. This person will be maintaining financial records and reports, performing vendor account reconciliations, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. This position will report to the Controller and assist the accounting team as needed.

Schedule: Full-time M-F Location: Onsite

Responsibilities/Duties:

Work with vendors to manage accounts and balances
Process payments timely
Manage high volume of accounts payable accurately and efficiently
Responding timely to information requests
Maintaining documentation for accounts payable
Analyze invoices, resolve accounting discrepancies, and charge expenses to accounts Ensuring compliance with GAAP
Other duties as needed

Requirements:

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel
Must have at least 3 years of QuickBooks experience Incredibly accurate and detail oriented

Ability to multi-task, change priorities, manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal skills
A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a Bachelor’s degree in business with emphasis in accounting is a plus Ability to assume responsibility for completion of projects in the absence of direct supervision
