The Position

Job Title: Regulatory & Compliance Manager (Contract Role)

Job Type: Full-time; On-site; Contract to Hire

Responsibilities:

  • Manage cross-site compliance projects and provide structured support to Plant QA Managers for certifications, audit readiness, and regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate submission of RCA and CAPA responses in customer, certification, and regulatory portals; support complete documentation, action follow-up, and timely closure.
  • Maintain regulatory databases, facility registration and license master lists, certificates, supporting records, and renewal schedules.
  • Serve as Management of Change coordinator, ensuring proposed changes receive appropriate food safety, quality, regulatory, labeling, customer, and certification review before implementation.
  • Coordinate customer questionnaire responses and compile accurate supporting documentation with input from Quality, Regulatory, R&D, Operations, Procurement, and Commercial teams.
  • Support Plant QA Managers with document preparation and evidence requirements for audits, inspections, and customer visits.
  • Maintain controlled compliance documentation and support consistent document governance across both facilities.
  • Track certification, registration, license, audit response, and customer documentation commitments; escalate risks to timing or compliance.
  • Support applicable certification and regulatory programs, including SQF/GFSI, USDA Organic, Kosher, Non-GMO, GFCO, and other customer-required programs.
  • Monitor regulatory and certification requirements relevant to CCFF operations and communicate documented changes and required actions to stakeholders.
  • Develop practical tools, trackers, and performance indicators to improve compliance visibility, ownership, and timely execution.
  • Provide training and guidance on MOC, documentation, portal submissions, and compliance processes.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Regulatory Affairs, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of food manufacturing experience in regulatory compliance, quality systems, certification, audit coordination, or customer technical support.
  • Working knowledge of FDA, FSMA, food labeling principles, HACCP, GMP, SQF/GFSI, and applicable certification programs.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating audits, certifications, regulatory registrations, customer questionnaires, CAPA documentation, and compliance portals.
  • Experience with Management of Change, document control, project tracking, and cross-functional action management.
  • Strong technical writing, organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital quality or document management systems; TraceGains experience preferred.
  • Strong collaborative communication skills and ability to work effectively with plant and corporate functions.
  • Ability to travel to CCFF locations as business needs require.
