Account Development Executive (Logistics)

The Position

Job Title: Account Development Executive – Logistics 

Job Type: Full-time; Onsite

Responsibilities: 

• Develop and grow a book of business by establishing relationships with new and existing customers.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers, handling their freight needs, pricing requests, and problem resolution.
• Entering loads and maintaining accurate load information in PT’s TMS.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and referrals.
• Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure customer shipments are covered efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Working with the OPEX (carrier) team to help ensure their dedicated trucks are covered and profitable.
• Communicate customer expectations to the OPEX (carrier) team, ensuring service commitments are met.
• Analyze market conditions and provide customers with insights on pricing and capacity trends.
• Negotiate rates with customers to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive pricing.
• Ensure high customer retention by providing excellent service and proactive communication.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, pricing agreements, and freight transactions.

Experience:

• Existing book of business or proven ability to acquire and grow customer accounts.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of exceeding revenue goals.
• Deep understanding of freight brokerage, market trends, and industry pricing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of organization, attention to detail, and time management.
• Self-motivated and driven to continuously expand customer relationships.
• Ability to work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution.

Compensation Details: This position offers a competitive base salary and commission
