Director of Procurement
Chicago, IL (Hybrid, 2-3 Days Onsite)

A global capital markets technology company is looking for a Director of Procurement to lead its global procurement organization, vendor management lifecycle, and corporate governance framework. This is a high-impact, strategic role with ownership across direct and indirect procurement, complex contract negotiations, vendor risk management, and M&A integration. A strong fit for a procurement leader with deep negotiation expertise who wants a seat with real influence over enterprise-level decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex contract negotiations across SaaS, Telecom, Market Data, CapEx, and OpEx categories to secure optimal pricing and terms
  • Develop and execute multi-year procurement roadmaps aligned with corporate growth and budget objectives
  • Oversee vendor risk assessment, financial stability checks, and compliance reviews across all third-party relationships
  • Serve in a leadership role for M&A due diligence, vendor audits, and post-merger integration of contracts and systems
  • Standardize SOW creation and manage the end-to-end PR to PO workflow for contractor and non-employee labor
  • Partner with the Corporate Controller and FP&A team on budget planning, forecasting, and expense lifecycle tracking
  • Design and enforce procurement governance policies aligned with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and SOC 2 standards
  • Own procurement platforms including Coupa, NetSuite, and Ironclad, and deliver executive-level reporting on spend and savings

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing, and vendor management experience in high-growth tech, finance, or corporate environments
  • Demonstrated expertise negotiating complex enterprise agreements across SaaS, Telecom, and Market Data categories
  • Proven track record managing M&A procurement integration and large-scale vendor consolidation
  • Advanced hands-on experience with Coupa, NetSuite, and Ironclad or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of third-party risk management and data privacy frameworks including GDPR, SOC 2, and ISO
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, finance, business administration, or related field; MBA a plus
  • CPSM or CIPP certification a plus
