Senior Manager, Finance Transformation
Chicago, IL (Hybrid, 3 Days Onsite)

A global capital markets technology company is looking for a Senior Manager, Finance Transformation to lead forward-looking initiatives across its accounting organization. This is not a traditional accounting management role. It is built around redesigning close processes, driving automation and systems implementation, and serving as the accounting lead on M&A and integration work. A strong fit for someone who wants to build and transform rather than run steady-state operations.

Highlights

  • Base salary $145K-$185K
  • Hybrid schedule, 3 days onsite in Chicago
  • Ownership of the finance transformation roadmap, not a traditional close and reporting seat
  • Serve as accounting lead on M&A transactions from due diligence through integration
  • High-growth, PE-backed technology company with global reach
  • Comprehensive benefits package including strong PTO and professional development support

Responsibilities

  • Own the finance transformation roadmap, identifying inefficiencies and leading end-to-end implementation of scalable improvements
  • Lead evaluation, selection, and rollout of close management and automation tools such as FloQast, Power Automate, and Power BI
  • Redesign the month-end close process to reduce cycle time, eliminate manual touchpoints, and improve data quality
  • Partner with finance systems teams on ERP enhancements and workflow integrations across NetSuite and Coupa
  • Serve as finance lead on M&A transactions, including due diligence, purchase price allocation, and post-acquisition accounting
  • Lead harmonization of accounting policies, charts of accounts, and systems across acquired entities
  • Build a repeatable M&A integration playbook and define KPIs for close efficiency and team productivity
  • Present progress and recommendations directly to the Controller and senior leadership

Requirements

  • CPA required
  • 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience with demonstrated leadership on process improvement, systems implementation, or M&A integration
  • Strong blend of public accounting and industry experience in a high-growth environment
  • Hands-on M&A accounting experience, including purchase price allocation and post-acquisition integration
  • Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition, ideally applied to SaaS or multi-element arrangements
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives from scoping through implementation
  • Experience with a close management tool rollout (FloQast, BlackLine, or similar) is a plus
  • Exposure to international entity structures and multi-currency consolidations is a plus

A strong opportunity for an accounting leader who wants to shape how a finance organization operates rather than simply run it.
