Temporary Role HR Generalist/Compensation Specialist

Summary

We are looking for a temporary HR Generalist/Compensation Specialist to join our People team and oversee our compensation programs and people team projects. You will also provide HR generalist support for administrative tasks, budget support, open enrollment, and employment relations. You will be a proactive and adaptable HR professional who can seamlessly manage day-to-day HR operations and support various HR functions. This position will report to the Chief People Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the compensation programs and open projects, including salary structures, incentive plans, and market analysis, lead us through our annual compensation planning process to plan and payout bonus and merit.
  • Provide HR generalist operational support to the rest of the HR team.
  • Support tasks related to open enrollment and the 2025 plan year in partnership with our benefits Manager.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures (i.e. rollout of handbook and required annual compliance training).
  • Potential first line of triage to employment relations issues and in person support to our Distribution Center coworkers/hourly population.
  • Support People team projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Paylocity system support, reporting and analytics support as needed.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work our hybrid Work Schedule – Must be in our office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and can be remote or in office on Mondays and Fridays
  • Highly proficient in Excel and other Microsoft programs. Ability to complete Excel tasks with ease such as V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, Formulas, etc.
  • Strong background in compensation management to be able to lead our team and leaders through annual compensation planning processes and improve upon our current process.
  • Experience as an HR generalist and strong interpersonal skills to allow for professional interactions with employees.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a collaborator, a team player.
