SAP Senior Production Planning Analyst
Location: Remote – East Coast

Overview:

This is a hands-on technical role focused on supporting SAP ECC 6.0. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in all processes related to the SAP Production Planning (PP) module. Responsibilities include designing, configuring, developing, testing, implementing, and training within the PP module, following industry best practices. The Senior Analyst will lead workshops with business stakeholders to gather requirements and propose process designs and improvements. A comprehensive understanding of integration points with related modules (MM, QM, FICO, WM, SD) is essential. Where standard SAP configuration does not meet business needs, the Senior Analyst will create functional specifications, and manage the build, testing, implementation, and support phases throughout the development lifecycle.

    • Forecasting
    • S&OP
    • Demand Management
    • Long-Term Planning
    • Discrete Production Orders
    • Kanban

Knowledge of SAP Variant Configuration is not required but is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide suitable system solutions; identify, interpret, validate, and document requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops to gather business requirements.
  • Design, customize, configure, and test new business process improvements.
  • Identify gaps and issues in current business processes.
  • Proactively suggest business process and/or system enhancements.
  • Offer expert analysis on both new implementations and existing projects.
  • Provide ad-hoc training and user support as needed.
  • Support project data validation through the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) process.
  • Design custom reports based on business requirements.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent work experience.
  • A degree in Business or Information Technology is preferred.
  • SAP Certification is preferred but not required.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of professional experience with SAP, specifically within the PP Module.
  • Experience with multiple full-cycle implementations in either a consulting or business role.
  • Experience with S/4 HANA is preferable.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of SAP PP best practices and their integrations.
  • In-depth understanding of the latest relevant SAP modules.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and provide leadership.
