Sales Development Representative
Position Description
Responsible for qualifying prospects and establishing relationships with qualified customers; as well as successfully completing company training program and gaining knowledge necessary for promotion in the sales team.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Prospect and establish relationships with qualified customers
- Gain knowledge necessary for autonomy through company training program
- Complete Sandler Sales training and implement techniques
- Meet customer contact objectives
Primary Objectives
- Learn & demonstrate Company’s Core Values
- Develop into valuable members of the Sales Dept.
- Cultivate valuable relationships with customers
Specific Responsibilities
- Qualify prospects through cold calling/emailing
- Successfully convert cold calls/emails into long term business relationships
- Provide customers with exceptional & systematic customer service
- Grow accounts to their full potential
- Meet activity and opportunity targets
- Learn and implement Sandler Sales techniques
- Lean & implement effective organizational techniques for managing each stage of the sales cycle
- Learn to effectively use ACT, SAP & Outlook in the sales cycle to operate independently
Job Requirements: Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- A strong desire and ability to build and maintain relationships with decision-makers
- Demonstrates exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Uses creativity and organizational skills to be efficient and effective
- Possesses a self-directed will to win
- Okay with “No”
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required
- Sales experience preferred but not required
