We are a rapidly growing, innovative business that is looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our dynamic team in the key role of Market Research & Growth Strategy Associate, based either at our HQ in Cincinnati, OH or in Denver, CO. The Market Research & Growth Strategy Associate role will conduct key target customer and market analyses, identify new commercial opportunities, plan critical sales activities, and participate in outbound customer engagement. Successful candidates will have direct experience assessing and understanding customer pain points, developing action plans for customer engagement, and executing outreach to build a sales pipeline. The person in this role will identify and cultivate new relationships with key decision makers that will require electrification infrastructure solutions in the future. The role requires creativity, analytical thinking, communication skills, and a willingness to learn new skills as needed. Nearly every challenge faced will be different, so having the ability to reuse learnings from prior projects and adapt them to new ones is a critical success factor.

Core Responsibilities:

– Research corporate and public fleet ESG and electric vehicle commitments and investments. Identify preexisting OEM, hardware, and software partnerships.
– Navigate complex organizations to identify and map high-level decision makers and stakeholders.
– Gather information on prospective customer pain points and define key messaging to better engage with fleet owners and operators.
– Assist and track business development pipeline management through CRM software.
– Prepare responses to RFIs and RFPs and catalogue best-in-class language for future use.
– Assist with due diligence and competitive analyses for new business pursuits to aid management in business planning and strategy development including research, analytics, data mining, and data collection.
– Monitor EV charging infrastructure grant and incentive funding announcements to identify key opportunities for potential customers, funding recipients, and targeted outreach lists.
– Keep up to date with industry news and be able to discuss the competitive landscape.
– Once target customer contact is established, directly contribute to the business development sales cycle by gathering information, generating sales activity, and conducting outreach to create new opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Sustainability is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
– 3-4 years of relevant experience conducting market, customer, and competitive analyses and presenting findings to senior-level stakeholders.
– In-depth understanding of sales processes and the key data required to push opportunities along the sales cycle.
– Experience and competence presenting and selling to prospective customers.
– Ability to think analytically and creatively, implement structured problem-solving, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
– Strong interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders and clients.
– Excellent communication and team management skills.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, database, and project management tools.
