Manager, Media / Digital Planning - Autocare

Salary Range : $123,000

We are looking for a strong, qualified candidate to manage the North America Auto Care Media within the Global Media Digital Center of Expertise. The Manager, Media / Digital Planning role reaches across the global organization and requires strategic thinking, agility, collaboration, and creativity. This colleague will partner directly with the Global and Area Marketing Leaders of our Auto Care category to develop traditional and digital media strategy, lead campaign executions, as well as, serve as the agency partner in buying and executing of the media plan.

A successful candidate must display a strong passion for both traditional and digital media planning, a desire to be creative and think outside of the box, strong analytical skills to be able to review multiple metrics, draw insights and tie back to the business strategies. They should also display adaptability to new technologies and be aligned with our culture of working together as one team to deliver results.

Accountabilities

  • Support Media and Digital Center of Expertise, including strategy and planning efforts for Auto Care business
  • Drive path to purchase media campaign discussions to identify opportunity areas and drive collaboration across categories, brands, and channels
  • Drive agency coordination and media buying activities

Specific Accountabilities

  • Consult with Area Marketing and Commercial teams to develop media/digital strategy
    and campaigns (display, paid social, TV, print, in-store ads, email, rich media, SEO/SEM
    and more)
  • Coordinate budgeting, planning and execution of paid media campaigns for the global
    organization
  • Own agency management including research, brief writing, vetting, and daily
    coordination
  • Conduct data-driven planning and execution for Digital marketing campaigns -
    geographies, channels (social, display, email and more), content, pacing, etc.
  • Utilize web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Ad manager, SEO/SEM tools) to
    assess platform performance and optimize efforts for maximum return, analyze cost
    efficiencies and ensure CPM/CPC and ROAS goals are met
  • Develop strategy for and own execution of test and learn strategy to determine effectiveness of channels, creative and audiences across media plan
  • Perform periodic performance reporting through analytics and KPIs to the leadership
  • Identify trends/insights to optimize media spend and performance, develop conversion
    points and optimize user funnels
  • Work to resolve day to day media issues, interfacing with media agencies, vendors and
    internal stakeholders
  • Identify new and creative growth strategies in media space
  • May also perform additional duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4-year degree required with an emphasis on Business, Marketing; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in media planning and buying
  • Strategic thinker, strong analytical capabilities and ability to review KPIs, develop
    insights, make connections with different results and tie it back to the business strategy and objectives, team player
  • Demonstrable experience in leading and managing traditional and digital marketing
    campaigns
  • Ability to effectively work cross-functionally and communicate to internal and external
    teams
  • Nimble and agile approach to adjust to changing consumer preferences and business
    strategies
  • Produce high-quality work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Proactive and solution oriented with a strong sense of urgency
  • Curiosity for the ever-changing media landscape and a passion for understanding and
    staying ahead of the trends
  • Proficient in Google Adwords, SEO/SEM and with website analytics tools like Google
    Analytics, eHavior, Google Marketing Platform, Facebook Ad Manager, WebTrends

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • CPG background preferred
  • Exposure and understanding of global marketplace dynamics and considerations
  • Familiar with data analytics package and insights
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing SEO/SEM campaigns

Working Relationships & Environment

Working Relationships

  • Reports to Media/Digital Senior Manager, reporting through Global Marketing
  • Key relationships internally will include Chief Marketing Officer, Category Leaders, Area Category Leaders, Creative Services, Digital Economy, Shopper Marketing

Work Environment

  • Travel Requirements (up to 25%); will depend on location
  • Remotely Located, preferred to be in Mid-West or East Coast
