Manager, Digital Merchandising

The Manager, Digital Merchandising will lead the planning and execution of AZPetVet’s end to end site experiences. This individual will work to create prospect and client (pet parent) engagement and conversion strategies in partnership with key Marketing teams and Product. They will develop and execute content and landing page plans and execute an SEO optimization agenda to drive engagement and conversion, and exceed the modern client’s expectations.

It is essential that this person has experience supporting the launch of a new brand or product.  The individual must be able to manage multiple priorities in process at the same time, seamlessly navigating both strategic and executional requirements.    

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of the site schematic, taxonomy, merchandising, and user experiences in line with rebrand priorities and client engagement and lead gen targets 
  • Own and drive seamless execution of merchandising planning calendar (core, launch campaigns and SEO), ensuring content maximizes personalization capabilities and goes live in line with brand refresh launch  
  • Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing; enterprise and local
  • Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
  • Lead planning and execution of local listings creation and optimization
  • Develop and implement link building strategy
  • Work with the development team to ensure technical SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed experiences
  • Support the creation of a test and learn agenda to optimize the client  and DVM experiences and improve KPI performance, including creation of landing page strategies to drive paid and organic search improvements

 

  • Leverage suite of business reports to identify merchandising opportunities to increase site conversion and patient engagement 
  • Distill complex sets of data to tie Digital Commerce strategies back to business results 
  • Play a critical role in educating the organization and build stakeholder alignment to support Digital Commerce strategy and digital best practices and opportunities to achieve business results 
  • Leverage and maximize the right external partners (agencies, data and service providers, white label solutions) to best exploit their value in driving business results 
  • Continue to own test/learn agenda and calendar planning

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required 
  • 4+ years related experience in Digital Commerce (eCommerce, Digital Marketing, Content) for retail, service or healthcare categories (agency or brand-side) 
  • A ‘hands-on’ individual able to shift from strategic thinker to a tactical expert able to deliver on the strategies developed 
  • Analytically minded and curious, comfortable with core site analytics and A/B testing data
  • Entrepreneurial and nimble, takes ownership and drives forward amidst ambiguity while also building relationships and alignment cross-functionally with internal partners to contribute to a center of excellence in a shared service model 
  • Strong communication skills, ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences 
  • General understanding of SEO best practices and optimization strategies 
  • Extremely organized with expertise in partnering across many teams  
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
