Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000

Our client is seeking a Data Engineering Manager who will lead and collaborate with a team of skilled engineers. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our cutting-edge, multi-channel media optimization platform. We foster a cross-functional team where individuals can contribute their expertise while also learning from others. As the Manager of Data Engineering, your duties will include:

  • Leading the software delivery team for the development of next-generation products, actively participating in the production codebase, and providing ongoing support and maintenance.
  • Overseeing the technical development process, from concept to release and ongoing support.
  • Ensuring the fast, resilient, and scalable technical infrastructure strategy, configuration, and management of our products by offering technical guidance, direction, and hands-on management to team members.
  • Advocating for technical exploration and collaboration with product managers, scrum masters, project managers, engineers, testers, and designers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Staying updated on the latest innovative trends in software development, web technologies, and data software products.
  • Leading the growth of our expanding data team through mentoring and training, while maintaining high-quality performance standards.


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Previous experience in agile/scrum environments.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in a similar position.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in software architecture, design, and development.


  • Demonstrates intelligence, quick learning ability, and a sense of urgency in completing tasks.
  • Pragmatic mindset that prioritizes stability, reliability, and maintainability over shiny new technologies.
  • Passionate about technology, ideally engaged in personal projects outside of work.
  • Extensive practical experience in developing real products at a large scale.
  • Previous hands-on experience with some or all of our technology stack, which includes:
    • Python
    • PySpark for Spark
    • AWS Cloud services such as EMR, Lambda, EC2, Docker, S3, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
    • Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Possesses a positive and professional attitude as part of our Innovation team, contributing to our growth as a leading company in the industry.
