Junior QA Analyst
The State of Illinois is standing up a QA center of excellence. They are looking to have a team available to agencies as needed when they are looking for QA services. As part of the team, there are different skillsets needed. This role is for a junior QA person who will work under the guidance of a Senior team member.
Junior QA testers work collaboratively with other groups to test software. They report and truck bugs within software, and they help fix them.
Creates and maintains the processes of the department’s quality program.
Provide consulting for software development or operations processes, quality practices, quality audits and software measurements to product development or operations teams within the division and to clients.
Identifies, logs, and track defects within the Defect Management System
Execution of Manual test cases within the Test Repository System
Work with Development, Quality Assurance, and Project Management to complete testing.
Work independently and as part of a team; engage and interact with users, technical support, product management, developers, and DevOps to understand issues and requirements.
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Knowledge of methods, tools, and technology used in software testing.
Knowledge of the basic principles, processes, phases and roles of application development methodologies.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, vendors and public.
Assist Mid-Level and Senior QA Analyst with testing activities.
Supports future system testing and integration requirements.
Great collaborator and team player with a "get-it-done attitude; motivated to learn and help others.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to organize and plan work independently and within the team.
Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
