Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman to join our team as we create precision fabrication sign prints. In this role, you will play a crucial part in translating design concepts into accurate technical drawings for manufacturing. If you have a keen eye for detail, proficiency in drafting software (Inventor) and a passion for creating high-quality fabrication sign prints, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Drawing: Create detailed fabrication prints and drawings based on sign design concepts and specifications provided by clients and sales reps.
Inventor Software Utilization: Proficiently use Computer-Aided Design Inventor software and other relevant tools to develop accurate and precise drawings.  Will also be using in house software to create art files for production. (Corel Draw)
Material Selection: Collaborate with designers, purchasing, and project managers to select appropriate materials for sign fabrication while considering durability and cost-efficiency.
Quality Control: Review and verify the accuracy of drawings to ensure they meet industry standards, site surveys, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Communication: Maintain effective communication with team members, managers, and suppliers to clarify design details and address any design-related issues.
Documentation: Organize and maintain records of all drawings, revisions, and design changes to ensure a comprehensive and up-to-date reference.
Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot any design or production challenges that might emerge while manufacturing, collaborating with the Design/Estimating team and the Fabrication personnel.
Deadline Management: Adhere to project timelines and deadlines, ensuring that drawings are completed in a timely manner.
Qualifications:

• 2-year degree or diploma in 3D Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a draftsman, particularly in sign fabrication or related industries, is advantageous.
• Proficiency in software (e.g., Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and familiarity with drafting standards.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to create precise and accurate technical drawings.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve design and fabrication issues.
• Time management skills to meet project deadlines.
• Familiarity with sign fabrication materials and processes is a plus.
