Reports To: Regional VP and Chief Financial Officer

FLSA Status: Exempt

Job Summary: The Divisional Accounting Manager will collaborate closely with the CFO and Accounting team on various financial functions including cash receipts posting, payroll, banking, accounts payable, general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and budgeting/reporting. This role requires interaction with internal departments and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate should excel both independently and in cross-functional team settings, possess strong accounting proficiency, and thrive in deadline-driven environments.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversee accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, general ledger, and cash management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes.
  • Manage % completion project work, involving identification of project cost changes, monitoring job progress, and managing % completion entries.
  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns.
  • Directly manage company audits, collaborating with audit teams to fulfill audit requirements.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of all General Ledger accounts.
  • Process payments for ACH, wires, and credit cards, including researching customer payments as needed.
  • Conduct weekly cash reconciliation and forecasting.
  • Manage payroll processes, provide administrative support to employees, and reconcile payroll accounts.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with vendors and customers.
  • Collaborate with Regional leadership on budgeting and related financial analysis.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field OR equivalent industry experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of five years of relevant work experience.
  • People management experience highly preferred. 

Knowledge and/or Specific Skills Necessary Upon Hire:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient in data entry and computer literacy.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks Accounting software preferred.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective listening abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
