CNC Programmer and Operator

Salary Range: $2,000 - $2,500

Position Summary:

This role is responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining the CNC machine for the production of cut materials for exterior signage.   

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create cut files and program the machine.

  • Cut accurate pieces using the correct materials.

  • Prioritize work orders to meet due dates.

  • Distribute pieces to correct areas to keep workflow moving.

  • Provide routine maintenance to CNC Router machine.

  • Create a library of jobs to reduce future layout times.

  • Charge out correct materials to each job.

  • Assist with other projects or responsibilities, as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience with running CNC equipment.

  • A high school diploma at a minimum; additional college courses or Associate’s degree is preferred. 

  • Familiarity with CAD software and CNC programming; knowledge of EnRoute is desirable.  We currently use EnRoute to produce programs for Multicam routers.

  • A mechanical aptitude and a basic understanding of the construction of a variety of signs.

  • Strong knowledge of geometry, good overall math skills, and skilled with keyboard tools/ techniques.

  • Ability to operate proficiently and complete work on time with minimum supervision. 

  • Must follow all safety guidelines and practices while operating equipment. 

  • The ability to solve minor obstacles and handle tight deadlines under pressure, while still maintaining organized records.

  • The ideal candidate is a team player who exhibits a professional demeanor, a customer-focused attitude, a strong work ethic, and an excellent attendance record.
