Application Support Engineer

Position: Application Support Engineer
 
Client is looking for talented APPLICATION SUPPORT ENGINEERS interested in a challenging and diverse role in a team of like-minded, enthusiastic people with strong technical and customer service skills.
 
Position Summary:
Handling all technical aspects related to support and configuration in the electronic trading software environment. Knowledge of financial trading is strongly desired.
 
Responsibilities:

1. Delivering, customizing, and supporting cutting-edge software products for the financial trading industry.
2. Interacting with traders, engineers, electronic trading counterparties, market-data-feed vendors to resolve production issues and handle non-production projects efficiently.
3. Electronic trading connectivity certification, configuration, troubleshooting.
4. Developing relationship/rapport with clients.

Additional qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in an analytical or technical field.
2. Solid experience with MS Windows environment. Linux is a plus.
3. Knowledge and experience with some scripting language are a plus.
4. Knowledge and experience with SQL are a plus.
5. Familiarity with the financial industry is a plus.
6. Experience with Perl, Python, XML is a plus.
