Regional IT Manager (Louisiana & Arkansas)

The Regional IT Manager will manage and supervise a team of IT Support technicians serving both the Louisiana (LA) and Arkansas (AR) markets across all Retail (dispensary) and Cultivation locations. In this role, you will focus on incident management and service request fulfillment, serving as the primary technical contact and project lead for your designated region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Support: Supervise regional IT support technicians and act as an escalation point to diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and operating system issues.

• Primary Contact: Serve as the initial point of contact for employees regarding computer and system-related concerns.

• Infrastructure Maintenance: Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user network hardware, peripheral devices, printing/scanning equipment, presentation systems, and software to meet desktop service levels.

• Collaboration: Partner with other regional IT managers and the VP of IT to ensure the efficient operation of the organization’s enterprise computing environment.

• Project Deployment: Support the development, implementation, and roll-out of new IT projects and hardware installations across regional sites.

• On-Call Availability: Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages, and work orders. Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation is mandatory.

• Vendor Management: Liaise with third-party technical support and PC equipment vendors as required.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all site locations in Louisiana and Arkansas operate within strict compliance of each state’s medical marijuana rules, laws, and tracking regulations (e.g., AMMC/Arkansas Department of Health and Louisiana Department of Health/LDAF), while acting as the liaison between compliance and technical support teams.

• General Duties: Perform related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.

Minimum Qualifications

• Licensing: Must be able to obtain and maintain state-issued medical marijuana credentials/badges for both Arkansas and Louisiana, including passing all required state background checks.

• Travel: Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required for frequent travel between regional sites.

• Communication: Ability to communicate with the GDF Team effectively, professionally, and clearly.

• Performance Under Pressure: Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and stay focused under high-pressure or high-stress situations.

• Mindset: Strong customer service orientation, self-motivated, highly organized, and a positive “can-do” team-player attitude.

• Schedule Flexibility: Available to work weekends, after normal business hours, and holidays as needed to support 24/7 cultivation and retail operations.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in a technical or IT-related field preferred.

• Experience: 7+ years of professional work experience in a related IT support or management field.

• Technical Skills: Deep working technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, software standards, and enterprise hardware tools/components.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting & Mobility: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Repetitive lifting, standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping.

• Dexterity: Fine motor skills and hand/finger dexterity to operate keyboards, mice, power tools, and intricate computer components.

• Environmental Adaptability: Ability to work in varied environments including bright, hot, and humid cultivation rooms, as well as low-light situations or confined spaces.

• Safety & Awareness: Ability to move safely over uneven terrain, wear personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly for extended periods, respond quickly to auditory cues, and visually identify hazardous situations.

• Chemical Exposure: Comfort working near limited hazardous chemicals typical of a cultivation facility (e.g., cleaning agents, fertilizers).
