Benefits Systems Specialist
Overview
Paragon Partners is hiring a Benefits Systems Specialist to operate at the center of our broker and client experience.
This is not an entry-level coordinator role. We are looking for someone who already understands benefits administration systems, enrollment workflows, and broker-facing service models—and can step in as a technical and operational leader across implementations, renewals, and ongoing service.
You will own the integrity of our benefits administration ecosystem, primarily Employee Navigator—ensuring clean builds, accurate integrations, and seamless execution from quote to enrollment and beyond.
This role sits at the intersection of technology, service, and execution. You will be leaned on by brokers, clients, carriers, and internal teams when things need to be solved correctly and quickly.
What You’ll Own
Systems Strategy & Execution
- Lead configuration and optimization of Employee Navigator across new and existing groups
- Build and maintain complex plan structures, eligibility rules, and contribution strategies
- Ensure system accuracy from implementation through renewal and ongoing service
Integrations, Feeds & Data Integrity
- Own carrier feeds, payroll integrations, and data syncs end-to-end
- Diagnose and resolve file feed issues, mapping errors, and integration breakdowns
- Proactively monitor system health to prevent downstream billing and enrollment issues
Advanced Troubleshooting
- Serve as escalation point for complex system and enrollment issues
- Resolve discrepancies across carriers, ben admin, and payroll systems
- Navigate edge cases (late adds, retro changes, term timing, eligibility conflicts, etc.)
Broker & Client Enablement
- Lead platform demos and onboarding sessions for brokers and employer groups
- Train HR teams on best practices—not just how to use the system, but how to run clean processes
- Support brokers directly with system strategy tied to their book of business
Compliance & System Governance
- Ensure systems are configured to support ACA, COBRA, and eligibility compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation, audit trails, and system standards
- Manage wall notices, plan IDs, and system-level compliance nuances
Implementation & Renewal Execution
- Partner with internal teams to drive new group installs and renewals
- Own the ben admin portion of the timeline
- Identify risks early (data issues, integration gaps, eligibility errors) and solve ahead of OE
What We’re Looking For
- 3–7+ years in employee benefits administration, brokerage support, or GA environment
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Employee Navigator (required)
- Deep understanding of:
- Enrollment workflows
- Carrier integrations and feeds
- Eligibility structures and plan builds
- Proven ability to troubleshoot real-world issues, not just follow process
- Comfortable working directly with brokers and clients in a high-accountability environment
- Licensed in Life & Health (preferred)

- Is: Technical, client-facing, and execution-heavy
- Is: For someone who already “knows the game” and wants to operate at a higher level
- Is not: Entry-level
- Is not: Ticket-taking support
