Over the last four years, Vivid Seats’ business has gone through multiple periods of rapid growth. Despite having an internal talent acquisition team, their hiring demands have required outside support. They were seeking a long-term partner with deep connections in both the ecommerce space and Chicago’s tech community to help onboard top talent. This spanned roles across multiple levels, including strategic searches for key senior-level hires.

“Recruitment delivery in multiple domains!”

Describe the project or task the provider helped with:
Hirewell assisted Vivid Seats in sourcing and engaging candidates for HR, marketing, and Product openings. During a heavy hiring pushes in 2018 and 2019, we leaned on Hirewell’s market expertise in multiple domains to ramp up our search efforts quickly and start interviewing candidates.

What do you like best?
Long term successful talent acquisition requires a strong match for both the team hiring and a candidate’s motivations. Hirewell did a great job accurately sharing our employee value proposition and was committed to finding a great match for all involved. I’ve worked with several staffing agencies over the years, some of which have lost interest on hard to fill roles. Hirewell always stayed committed to the search regardless of the difficulty and advised appropriately to what their team saw in the market so our hiring team could adjust expectations. The Hirewell team brings strong market knowledge, collaboration, and dedication to the hiring process.

What do you dislike?
There is very little to dislike about the partnership with Hirewell. Staffing agencies have a difficult job managing recruitment funnels and pace, especially as candidates reach onsite stages of interviews. Recruiter time should be spent wisely, and recruiting for a role that is seemingly close to the finish line doesn’t always seem pragmatic. Hirewell made an effort to keep higher stages of the funnel progressing as other candidates reached onsite interviews, but at times I would have liked to see more candidates ready for the next stage, especially if onsite interviews didn’t yield a hire.

What problems are you solving with the provider? What benefits have you realized?
Vivid Seats has an in-house recruitment team that handles the majority of all of our external recruiting. During periods of high volume hiring, we lean on Hirewell to execute quickly on searches and accurately represent our brand to the talent market.
