Senior Ecommerce/Digital Marketing Manager


A global organization in the northwest suburbs is seeking a Senior Digital/Ecommerce Project Manager to lead ecommerce integrations with key customers, manage global website strategies (increasing web lead quality and quantity), responsive design and development, site performance and SEO. This is a hybrid marketing/technical position and the ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Magento (or similiar tool) ecommerce, web technology and digital marketing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain, revise and enhance back-end global website functionality to increase conversions and improve the customer experience. Establish a rigorous, data-driven roadmap to ensure continuous improvement across all global sites.
  • Identify requirements, formulate scopes of work, understand technical development, and manage implementation of projects to enhance customer and CMS enhancement projects. Actively test sites and enhancements prior to launch.
  • Lead technical implementation, optimization, and integrations of Magento 2.0 ecommerce site, with focus on integration with key customer purchasing systems.
  • Manage day-to-day requirements to modify and enhance ecommerce site instance. This involves a hands-on working knowledge of Magento 2.0 to enable site and back-end configuration, development and testing.
  • Lead global SEO initiatives, including regular reporting and recommendations
  • Manage PPC implementation and measurement utilizing third-party vendors.
  • Partner with internal marketing campaign managers to drive demand and reduce the cost of lead acquisition.
  • Day-to-day management of web development agency within established budget. Serve as point person for all site outages, issues and maintenance.


  • Minimum of 6+ years experience in direct management of corporate websites, including ecommerce, use of KPIs and measuring sales data.
  • 3+ years experience with Magento implementations.
  • Experience with HTML, PHP, CMS implementation and improvement, SEO/ SEM, Google Analytics, testing platforms such as Optimizely and social media management.
  • Tableau, AWS, MySQL, Photoshop and Joomla experience are a plus.
  • Must be able to provide examples of ecommerce implementation experience.
