The Product Development Manager-Email reports to the Director, E-Commerce & Marketing Systems and works with a team of product development managers. This role interacts with colleagues globally as well as vendor partners. This manager’s primary responsibility will be to work with key stakeholders to (Marketing, Analytics, IT, etc.) to manage and grow promotional and transactional email programs.
Candidates for this role must have experience managing a marketing email system as well as consumer-facing online products, managing vendors, implementing email service provider platforms and working effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. This is a hands-on product manager role, which does require a deep understanding of email platform technology, database management, consumer email best practices and project management principles. Candidates should have strong analytical, marketing and technical skills to leverage as he/she works with team members to develop new email strategies and establish the technology through the support of internal and vendor resources to execute on projects.

Lead all technical and product design aspects of the guest email program, from strategy to development to on-going support
Conduct necessary steps to trouble shoot technical issues as they arise and work directly with technical resources to resolve
Project manage application enhancements along with internal and vendor development teams
Work with multiple stakeholders during project planning, requirements gathering, writing functional & technical documentation, issue tracking & resolution, leading quality assurance efforts, project life cycle execution
Communicate project status to the Director E-Commerce & Marketing Systems and other stakeholders
Work with IT teams to support the scoping, development, testing and launch of custom programs or new applications
Develop collaborative relationships with business stakeholders and vendor teams and serve as the first point of contact for all email technology projects
Leverage database experience working with data warehouse and analytics teams; understand permission management and use skills to access and utilize the database
Work with Email marketing teams campaign tactics and segmentation strategy

7 years managing or acting as a project technical lead with an E-Commerce or IT product development
5 years working with email marketing programs
Bachelors degree required
Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job
Understanding of database structures, email and content management systems, campaign management systems
Experience managing cross-functional teams, vendors
Hotel or airline experience is a plus
