Enterprise Applications Architect

$120,000

Enterprise Applications Architect will act as the Subject Matter Expert for global platforms and solutions that each individually units/segments can utilize as boundary applications, next to their own ERP systems (Oracle, SAP and a number of other smaller ERP systems).

The role will take the global lead resp for the Middleware (B2B) platform first but then would expand to the following Enterprise Apps towers as per the business needs and demands:  

  • DW/ETL backend data processing capabilities
  • Strategic Web/Desktop application and database (Oracle and/or SQL Server) development for niche solutions
  • Document Management solutions in the context of ERP platforms
  • Business Process systems (Sharepoint as app)

    The role has 2 main objectives:

  1. Lead , structure and execute CoE concept for the above said platforms, in the order provided.

    CoE concept might differ from apps to apps but expected to cover:

  • internal service offering (with framework/re-usable components/guidelines/SDLC procedures)
  • Governance structure and cadency
  • Act As global admin , platform technical ownership
  • Setup sustainable model for L3 (advance support) and escalation with vendor account teams, using low cost , offshore and/or 3rd service providers.

    2- Act as the initiator, catalyst and lead for selected projects working with affiliate companies to deliver the solutions on supported platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Owner of middleware platform: Maintain and upkeep. Act as Global Admin. Setup a DevOps (24x7) model working closely with on and off shore partners, including Incidents, SLA, Change management, Auditable process
  • Ownership of Platform Foundation model. Development, project intake and Governance guidelines/ procedures to ensure reliable, scalable, high quality delivery; whether the work done internally or provided by 3rd party. Governance covers project review, approval, migration to PROD
  • Expand the same CoE / Governance and Develop similar Operation models for other applications referred  and “technical ownership” responsibilities : platform licensing , supplier escalations, vendor relationship, upgrade and maintenance , Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans (working with Infrastructure teams)
  • Act as SME and work on design with Dover Operating companies for their business cases, demo and POC , starter project delivery as needed.
  • Future direction, upgrade, addition on supported platforms. Stay up to date with technology changes and application techniques, help evaluate future tool/ platform selection, evaluation
  • Hire and/or offshore partner team oversight and relationship management for the assigned platforms.
  • Act as technical advisor to DBS IT leadership and prepare Quarterly/Yearly reports as requested
  • Be Proactive: Recommends technologies and solutions that drive business value through reduced administration expense, increased revenue, and enhanced customer engagement.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely fashion.

CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business (or related field of study)
  • 3+ years of professional services experience that must include Dell Boomi and/or any other iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) product or Oracle SOA Suite.
  • 3+ years of professional services experience in the similar role (tech architect) at least 2 additional towers:
    • DW/ETL
    • Enterprise App (java/.NET) development platforms and metrologies
    • Document Management solutions in the context of ERP platforms
    • Business Process systems (Sharepoint as app)
  • Experience with large ERP systems integration (Oracle) or any other mid or large scale Finance/manufacturing systems
  • Experience with SaaS applications platform such as SalesForce etc) for interface and/or as a platform
  • 3+ overall enterprise app technical/development/interface experience that includes Oracle or SQL Server database design/development/QA/test/delivery . Must be hands-on, with direct development/architect experience
  • SDLC and Agile project metrology and development life cycle tools such as Source control
  • Enterprise Applications Audit requirements and Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery experience
  • Experience with building a Dev Ops model with internal and/or external providers vendors and “owning” a technology platform  (vendor support, upgrades, up keep, future direction)  
  • Multi tasking and self- prioritization 
  • Ability to Engage with IT and Business stake holders and understand expectations and business requirements
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and complex IT environments ( IT team , different maturity level)  
  • Team player and Strong written and oral communication skills: across different timezone and locations as a part of global IT team
