Creative Services Manager


Job Summary: The Manager of Creative Services leads a small but impactful in-house creative services group and will be the person who makes our creative come to life. This team develops logos and names for new attractions, food & beverage and retail. It also produces the creative content (posters, menus, signage). Over time this role will help with digital content needs (web, email and advertising as well.) Managing creative brand alignment, our personality and making sure it drives consumer activity while being on time and on budget. 


  • Provide guidance and leadership in the balance of providing strong creative and process driven team execution. The successful candidate must be resourceful, creative, imaginative as well as process and timeline driven.
  • Create content that touches the consumer at the property level including New Attraction/Venue/F&B Names and Logos and site specific collateral such as menus, signs, posters, templates for events (print as well as an increasing digital footprint).
  • Produce content quickly and economically that stays true to the brand, accommodates local needs and drives onsite revenue.
  • Work at a strategic level to lead the design process and think strategically while understanding what has to get done to execute the work.
  • Be able to lead multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment including creation of work plans and budgets, management of timelines, and building a culture of accountability
  • Identify ways to make processes more efficient so the design team can spend more time doing design and less time doing updates.
  • Ensure on-time and on budget delivery by overseeing the process/timelines and making sure production and quality standards are met.
  • Management of our DAM (Digital Asset Management Tool)
  • Own the Brand Standards document
  • Provide project management oversight and step in to assist when needed in to ensure projects stay on time and on budget.
  • Elevate the work the team does to advance the content used in lodges, on the web, and in email and digital advertising content.
  • At times, provide hands on Creative leadership by participating in concepting, design and development.
  • Work with agencies to oversee creative related to asset production, and provide perspective and input on directly agency produced content.
  • Evaluate tools and technologies and other resources that could improve team efficiency, effectiveness, cost or quality.
  • Build relationships in the marketing team and directly with other stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance, leadership and mentorship to the creative team by managing performance and developing team members.
  • Develop credibility quickly across the organization to become a trusted business partner to stakeholders
  • Redefine processes and steps to ensure better creative and more creative consistency while hitting timelines and meeting budgets.
  • Evaluate process and optimize process first to allow for great creative outputs and thinking time

Required Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate has a creative sensibility, likely with a design base. They should be resourceful, organized, confident and enthusiastic.
  • BA degree in marketing, design, fine arts, communications or other creative oriented field
  • 7+ years' experience, preferably in a design function for an in-house team or at a design agency
  • Demonstrated strong creative background (graphic design, copywriting, production, etc.), including experience with creative tools (e.g. such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Retail/Hospitality/Restaurant or multi-until experience helpful
  • Demonstrated track record of building people and building teams and management experience
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to work well under pressure and achieve results in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to roll-up sleeves and get the work -- big and small -- done
  • Team player, motivated to build internal confidence and alignment
